is MRI?

the MRI

Examination

THE EXAMINATION
General Preparation: Typically,
patients require no preparation or dietary
restrictions. Certain conditions though may
prevent you from having an MRI examination.
When scheduling your appointment, and
just prior to the test, please alert the
Premier MRI staff and technologist if you
have any of the following: pacemaker,
pregnancy surgical staples, clips in the
brain, metallic implants, dental bridges,
inferior vena cava umbrella, artificial
heart valves, aneurysm clips, hearing aids,
history as a metal worker, shrapnel dorsal
column stimulator, metal objects in the eye,
stents, or other issues you believe are
relevant.
During the Exam: This exam is simple
and painless. The scanning bed is open and
non restrictive. A family member or friend
may accompany you. Our expert staff is at
your side throughout too answer questions
and assist in your comfort.
After the Exam: You may resume your
normal activities unless otherwise
instructed by a physician. Our board
certified radiologist will report the
results of your MRI exam directly to your
doctor within 24 hours. Stat readings are
available upon physician’s request. |
